I have worked with over 70 schools across Dorset, including First, Primary, Middle, Secondary and Upper Schools, including those for pupils with special educational needs. 

Staff Training

For all staff and governors to find out more about creating an inclusive and welcoming school for Rainbow Families and LGBT+  young people. 

Ally Training

For staff who want to be visible allies and actively support young LGBT+ students in their school. 

Direct School Support

Tailored 1:1 to support a young LGBT+ person through coming out and/or transitioning.

  • Ideas on embedding inclusivity into your teaching and ensuring that everyone knows how welcoming your school is

  • Using the values of the school to promote inclusivity and a welcoming and inclusive environment throughout the school

  • Legal documentation eg Equality Act 2010 and guidance eg CofE, Ofsted

  • Aimed at members of staff willing to be visible allies to LGBT+ students

  • Builds on the work you are doing already - collaborative, not instructive

  • Lots of opportunities for discussion and to ask questions (particularly in longer sessions)

  • More information on gender, transgender and non-binary issues, including how to support a pupil who wants to come out/ socially transition

  • Supporting a young person who is exploring their sexuality and wants to talk to a supportive adult

  • Guidance on talking to parents

  • Being a visible ally

  • Where to go next - having the biggest impact in your school

  • One day working with children in school only £50 extra if booked at the same time (see Student Workshops page)

Dorset Secondary Package - £250 donation (negotiable) to Space Youth Project

Includes:
  • Introductory Staff Training or Ally Training for staff  (see above)
  • One day working with students in school - only £100 extra if booked at the same time (see Student Workshops page)
  • Goody Bag including flags, stickers, info and copies of What Does LGBT+ Mean and What's the T?
